Hoping to find an 1820m dock

Hello everyone!
I haven't posted here since 2006 I believe. This forum was integral in getting me up and running when I first bought my 1212m :)

So, this is a shot in the dark, I know, but I'm looking for something as a short term fix for my current studio setup while I am also gradually standing up a whole system. I'm supposed to be recording my friends' band again and I really need more inputs to do it properly. If anyone has or knows someone who has an old EMU 1820m audio dock in working condition or even if it's not currently working and it's just collecting dust, please let me know if you'd be willing to part with it. I know they have notoriously bad caps that tend to force a repair which I'm willing to try my hand at if I can get it super cheap. The same 3 or so units have been on ebay for seemingly a year now and the sellers are asking like $160+ and are saying they are "untested." I'm not willing to pay that much money for a unit that's probably DOA and on me to fix.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I'm sorry to say that jmail has not been around who would normally offer some feedback on emu systems. Please read this post: viewtopic.php?f=130&t=14235

cheers

That is a shame about the forum...

I am still running my 1820m with Windows 7 although I did purchase a non working dock a coupe of years back to have for spare parts. (I have used the gain pot for one of the MIC channels already)
Hope you manage to get one yourself soon.

Also hope all is well with jmail...
